Our aim is quite simply to ditch the jargon, demystify wine and give consumers the confidence to try different wine styles.

The Wine Academy was formed 12 years ago, since then it has grown in size and reputation by word of mouth and personal recommendation, and is now one of the biggest wine education companies in the country, and recognised as the best – being awarded the Wine Educator of 2011 by the Wine and Sprit Education Trust.

In 2012 more students successfully completed studies at our wine school than at any other Wines & Spirit training provider in the North of England.

We are pleased to be able to offer a WSET Level 2 Course in Wines and Spirits in the characterful surroundings of the restaurant William and Victoria’s in Harrogate.

This qualification offers a broad coverage of wines and spirits, together with basic tasting technique. The course covers grape growing, wine making and wines from around the world.

By the end of the course students will have tasted and assessed around 45 wines and learned the basics of food and wine matching. It is suitable for those with little previous experience and is accredited at Level 2 in the NQF. This course is perfect for those in the trade and those who just want to learn more about wine for as an interest and try a range of wine styles.

The course will run on Wednesday 3^rd, 10^th and 17^th of April 2013, with the option to take the exam a week later on Wednesday 24^th .

Course fee: £325 – this includes the study pack, with study guide, textbook and Systematic Approach to Tasting, all wine samples, tuition, additional study aids produced by The Wine Academy and the examination (first attempt).

The day will start at 9.30am and finish at 4pm.
