Planning your visit

June 26th, 2020

Things you need to know when planning your visit to William & Victoria (updated 14th September and reviewed regularly)

We recommend you make a reservation to avoid disappointment or call ahead to check availability. However, we will accept ‘walk-ins’ providing we have a table available and contact details will be requested to assist with ‘Track and Trace’. Make a reservation enquiry by emailing via our Contact Page or call 01423 506883 (downstairs) 01423 521510 (upstairs).

Unfortunately you can no longer stand at the bar to drink however if you do just want drinks it is best to phone ahead to check we have a table available or ample seating in the bar area. We have some outside tables for use when the weather is good or for having a drink and nibbles.

IMPORTANT: If you or anyone in your party feel unwell or have symptoms of Covid 19 such as a high temperature, dry persistent cough, loss of taste or smell you MUST cancel your table and follow Government and NHS guidance.

Some adjustments have been made to ensure safety during your visit:
• Hand sanitising stations set up at entrance and exit points and on the way to toilets.
• Glass screens fitted between some tables.
• Tables spaced to comply with the 1m+ guidelines and staggered arrival times.
• Extended opening on Saturdays (food served all day) and Sunday 12 until 6pm.
• Staff issued with visors and/or face masks (it is optional for staff to wear a face covering but if you would prefer your server to wear one please say).
• Additional signage to assist you.

We ask that you respect the social distancing rule set out by the government for everyone’s safety and to avoid the risk of spreading coronavirus. We will politely remind anyone not following these guidelines and reserve the right to ask anyone in breach of the rules to leave.

Please email us using our contact form with your preferred date and how many people the booking is for and include your telephone number and any other necessary details.

We will confirm your reservation – please note, we may adjust your arrival time by a few minutes to avoid too many people arriving at the same time. PLEASE TRY TO BE PUNCTUAL. If you do not receive an email reply within 24 hours, please call.

Table reservations currently limited to 6 people from two households (or support bubbles). If you have a private dining enquiry please get in touch to discuss.

You will be greeted by a member of staff and directed straight to your table.

You will need to keep all personal belongings with you, including your coat, so please bring only what is absolutely necessary.
